Trilix’s latest hire started his Trilix career last summer, serving as our video intern. When he went back to the University of South Dakota in the fall, one thing was certain: we wanted him to join us full time!
Chris, originally from Johnston, Iowa, graduated with a degree in media and journalism. He joins the Trilix video team as a media production specialist. While he’s rarely without a camera, some of his hobbies include exploring abandoned places, taking landscape photography and metal detecting. So, if you like adventures, pretty landscapes and have lost something metal, contact Chris.
We asked Chris a few “get to know you” questions. Find out what he likes about Des Moines, what he collects and what the best meal he’s ever had is.
What is your favorite thing about Des Moines?
My favorite thing about Des Moines is how unique it has become. I love all the unique art, restaurants, bars and the “hipster” feel the city has.
What’s one interesting thing about you not many people know?
I collect vintage film cameras! I currently have 53.
What’s the best meal you’ve ever had?
It was at a sushi place in Omaha. I tried some kind of spicy yellowtail roll that was insanely amazing. It now has me craving sushi every day.
You can only watch two movies for the rest of your life. What are they?
Meet the Parents and Castaway.
