On Thursday, August 25, some of the Trilix crew attended the third annual Social Media Club Des Moines Hashie Awards at Jasper Winery. The Hashies celebrate and recognize Iowa businesses, organizations and agencies that have demonstrated excellence in social media marketing.
A few weeks before the Hashies, Social Media Club Des Moines announced the top three finalists in each of the categories. Trilix and our clients were humbled to learn we were finalists in three categories: Best Social Media Contest for the Iowa State Fair, Best Use of Video for Stine Seed Company and Best Overall Social Media Presence for Templeton Rye Whiskey. There were 19 awards categories, all with stiff competition from around the state of Iowa. Trilix walked away from the evening as first place winners for Templeton Rye’s social media, first runner up for Stine Seed Company’s use of video and second runner up for Iowa State Fair’s use of contests. We spent the night cheering on our tablemates and congratulating other finalists and winners.
The team that works on Templeton Rye, including Copywriter Tucker Vasey, Communications Specialist Megan Townsend and Account Manager Ashley Danielson, is proud to receive the Hashie for Best Overall Social Media Presence. Trilix took over Templeton Rye’s social media on February 1, 2016, and has since increased engagement, positive sentiment and followers on all social media platforms.
Stine Seed Company
Communications Manager Abby Bottenfield leads PR efforts for Stine Seed Company. Abby, with the help of our talented video team, Producer/Editor Rachel Yancey and Associate Producer/Editor Janet Eckles collaborate with Stine and their regional sales agronomists to create Ask the Agronomist videos, which focus on Stine products and how they perform in different regions. Congratulations to our talented video team!
Iowa State Fair
Trilix has worked with the Iowa State Fair for more than 11 years. The fair periodically asks Senior Account Manager Abe Goldstien for fresh ideas on how to drive social media engagement and create contests. When that happens, Abe calls upon Communications Specialist Megan Townsend for ideas. For the 2015 Iowa State Fair, Megan assisted the Fair’s marketing team and found ways to drive engagement for the Carrie Underwood and Def Leppard grandstand shows. The contests were a great success, resulting in thousands of interactions on the posts. A big congratulations goes out to the Iowa State Fair team on their award.
