Our first 2016 addition to the Trilix team is Drake University grad Janet Eckles, who joins the creative department as an associate video producer/editor. Janet was born in Des Moines and grew up in various towns across Iowa. Her family settled in Colorado after she finished high school, so she considers Fort Collins to be home. While attending Drake, Janet studied radio/TV producing and sociology, and she also interned with Iowa Public Television. Before joining Trilix, Janet worked in Kurdistan (northern Iraq) as a video production intern with Preemptive Love Coalition, a medical and peacekeeping nonprofit organization. In her spare time, Janet continues to work remotely with Preemptive Love as a freelance video editor.
Want to learn more about Janet? Here’s what she had to say about everything from her celebrity look-alike to her hidden talent!
If you had to choose one song that would play every time you entered a room, what would it be?
“Best Song Ever” by One Direction.
If you had to wear one color for the rest of your life, which would you choose?
Black. Can’t go wrong there.
Do you ever get told you look like a celebrity? If so, who?
A young Paul McCartney. A celebrity look-alike website once put me as a mix between J-Lo and Richard Dreyfuss, but I blame the lighting for that one.
Tell us a fun fact about you not many people know.
I can recite the alphabet backwards in under 10 seconds.
