Trilix’s latest hire, Spencer Brown, is a classically trained artist-turned-graphic designer with a passion for music. He can be found playing shows around Des Moines, spending time outside and avoiding canned tuna at all costs (he’s never tried it!).
Spencer’s education in the arts started as a child and eventually led him to the University of Minnesota, where he majored in fine arts with an emphasis in oil painting. A couple of years after graduation, he decided to attend DMACC’s Graphic Design program. Post-grad, Spencer worked at Wildfire, a direct mail firm, in Des Moines’ East Village.
We sat down with Spencer to find out business-critical information, such as what his childhood dreams were and what his favorite candy is.
What does your perfect day look like?
Decent breakfast, some type of outdoor activity on a beautiful day, cook some food, play music with and for my peeps at night or see a show. Toss a few brews in there throughout and I’d be a pretty happy camper.
Favorite type of candy?
Shocktarts as I knew them as a child, now under the code name of SweeTart Chewy Sours.
What was your dream job as a kid?
Rockstar… no... graphic designer!
Dogs or cats?
Dogs, the bigger the better.
You can only listen to one album for the rest of your life. What is it?
Oh boy…Revolver by the Beatles, if I must choose.
Please help us in welcoming Spencer to the team!
