Motivated, media-savvy, multitasking. Those are three words to describe our most recent addition to the Trilix team, Media Coordinator Alyssa Marschner. Alyssa, a Plymouth, Minnesota, native, recently graduated from Drake University where she majored in marketing and minored in advertising. While in college, Alyssa was a writing coach for the College of Business and Public Administration (CBPA) and also worked as a marketing intern for TMC Transportation where she wrote blogs for the company website, managed internal and external databases and coordinated corporate events.
Alyssa’s studies and internships are not the only things that kept her busy at the local Des Moines college. Alyssa also put up some great stats playing on the Drake women’s basketball team for four years.
We sat down with Alyssa to find out some more interesting facts about her, including what song she can’t get out of her head and what type of food she can’t live without.
What’s the most played song on your iPod?
“Rather Be” by Clean Bandit.
If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
Sushi. I love, love, love it! Bite-size perfection.
What is your favorite thing about Des Moines?
Des Moines is special because I have spent the last four years exploring the city. The people are friendly, it’s safe and there are tons of cool new places, events and restaurants to experience. Plus, it was just named the number one place for young professionals (and that’s me!) by Forbes. It’s a great place to be.
Which celebrity do you get mistaken for the most?
Sadly no one, but I wish people mistook me for Jennifer Lawrence. She’s gorgeous, and I love her as an actress!
Tell us one interesting fact or tidbit about you that not many people know.
Fall is my favorite season because my birthday is in October, it’s football season and I believe it is the most magical time of year. Watching the leaves change in Minnesota is a beautiful thing.
