February is American Heart Month, which is the perfect time for the Iowa Heart Foundation to launch their new website. The Foundation approached Trilix in late 2015 looking to increase website traffic and raise brand awareness. They wanted to update the overall look and feel of the website, creating a site that’s easy for visitors to navigate and employees to update.
Trilix’s interactive team brought the site to life with new images and graphics, using bright and bold colors for the main content pages (warm reds and yellows). This new design creates a sophisticated look for the Iowa Heart Foundation, giving users an aesthetically pleasing experience. Because Google now gives search priority to responsive websites, Trilix designed a responsive site so that all users have a great experience. Responsive websites allow users on all devices — computers, tablets, phones — to view the website the same on each device, ensuring easy browsing without any extensive pinching or scrolling.
In addition to creating an engaging experience for website visitors, the Iowa Heart Foundation wanted a site that they can easily update. Trilix developed a custom content management system that gives Foundation employees admin access to make changes as needed.
The Trilix communications team also reworked the website copy, giving users access to the most current Iowa Heart Foundation information and allowing them to find specific information much easier than they previously could.
The Iowa Heart Foundation debuted their newly redesigned site at their annual Cardiovascular Today conference, held on Saturday, February 6, in front of a crowd of industry professionals. You can check out their new website here.
