When Snapchat launched in September of 2011, many marketers likely thought Snapchat would be a fad. Fast forward to 2016. An estimated 200 million monthly people use it, 100 million of which are active daily. Snapchat is one of the fastest-growing social media platforms to date. With users eager to soak up content, it is becoming increasingly harder for marketers to stay off the app. That’s why we are here to share some tips on how to add Snapchat to your marketing plan!
1. Plan. Before you add Snapchat to your marketing tool box, plan some content ideas. The beauty of Snapchat is that it’s fast and unable to be edited, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a clear idea of what you want to accomplish before you press record! Recording a story, not just a bunch of random snaps, is one way to entice your followers to watch your entire Snap story.

3. Post. When posting, remember that while Snapchat is an app where you can draw and place text and emojis, you are still representing your brand. Make sure your content appropriate for your audience and for your brand!
