Along with his talents in video production, Josh’s interests in motion graphics, animation and experimental techniques make him a go-to for projects requiring an extra dose of attention-grabbing style. With everything from music videos, sports and promotional video in his portfolio, Josh’s unique perspective has allowed him to carve out a valuable post as an outside-the-box thinker with the know-how to deliver exactly what our clients need.
What is your professional background?
I graduated from the University of Iowa in 2017 with a degree in cinematic arts and English. While in college, I worked for the Memorial Union's marketing & design team where I was put through the paces creating content for various clubs on campus. During my time in Iowa City, I was fortunate enough to combine my love of music and film into a side hustle of making music videos for local musicians. It was this work that led to my love of creating unique visuals with and without the camera and eventually to my passion for motion design and animation.
Favorite type of food or restaurant in Des Moines?
My favorite food is probably sushi, and my favorite restaurant would have to be Basic Bird in Des Moines.
Any unique hobbies?
When I have time to work on personal projects, I like to make experimental animations.
